The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement said Thursday director Scott Angelle is “optimistic” that drilling in the Gulf of Mexico will increase in 2019. At the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry Conference in New Orleans this week, Angelle noted that applications for deepwater drilling permits had increased in 2018.
