Chevron Phillips Chemical is expanding its operations in the Middle East with a new petrochemical complex in partnership with Qatar Petroleum, the companies announced Monday.The Woodlands-based petrochemical giant, a subsidiary of Chevron Corp. and Phillips 66, signed a deal Monday to develop, build and operate a polyethylene and high-density polyethylene plant in Qatar in partnership with the country’s state-owned oil company. Polyethylene is one of the most common forms of plastic.
