Lobbyists from the pipeline and power sectors told Congress Thursday more action needs to be taken to encourage companies to build energy infrastructure in this country. During a hearing before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Don Santa, president of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, said Congress should “provide guidance to the appropriate role of the states,” citing New York’s decision to block pipeline projects over climate change concerns.
