Three of the largest U.S. oil companies, Exxon Mobil, Chevron and Occidental Petroleum, announced Thursday they had joined the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative, a London-based industry group with the mission of reducing greenhouse gas emissions produced from oil and natural gas.
