Biofuels from algae farming has long hung as a tantalizing golden ring for the energy industry, as it seeks to adapt to climate change. Now Exxon Mobil and its partner Synthetic Genomics are saying advances in technology mean they could reach 10,000 barrels a day of the biofuel by 2025, a critical step to reaching commercial-scale.
