Top House Republicans released a package of bills Wednesday designed to reduce the volume of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, as public awareness around climate change grows. Congressmen including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, of California, and Dan Crenshaw, of Texas, are pitching the legislation as a common sense alternative to Democrats’ calls for limiting the use of fossil fuels.
