Gasoline prices fell for the fourth straight week in Houston as worries about a recession and stock market volatility drove down oil prices last week.
Houston gas prices fell nearly 5 cents last week, averaging $2.35 per a gallon today, according to the gas tracking website GasBuddy’s daily survey of 2,559 stations. That’s 15 cents per gallon lower than a month ago, but nearly 24 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
