Trecora Resources, a Sugarland-based petrochemical manufacturer, will lay off 20 percent of its workforce at a Silsbee,Texas facility just north of Beaumont, the company said Thursday. Called South Hampton Resources, the Trecora facility specializes in high purity hydrocarbons and other petrochemical manufacturing but has been struggling with higher than normal feedstock prices.
