The U.S. oil and gas rig count fell below 800 this week, declining by three, according to the Baker Hughes rig count.The total number of operating oil and gas rigs is 799, still sitting at the lowest level since March 2017 when the industry was just coming out of the last oil bust. The U.S. rig count has plunged by more than 25 percent in the last 12 months.
