Power analysts point to the anticipated development of a 495-megawatt solar plant coupled with a 495-megawatt battery storage facility in West Texas as the next big step toward steady and secure solar power. The combined plant, expected to come on line in two years, is under development by San Francisco-based IP Juno and is expected to be one of the nation’s largest.
