It’s the closest thing Houston has to Davos.
The annual confab called CERAWeek by IHS Markit comes to town this week and brings the Who’s Who list of the global energy industry to Houston. It runs March 11 to 15 at the Hilton Americas hotel downtown.
In this edition of Texas Inc., we feature the energy industry luminary who started it all, Daniel Yergin, author of what has long been considered the definitive tome on the industry, “The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money, and Power.” It’s a history of the industry from the 1850s through 1990, when it was published.
He also founded the consulting firm from which CERAWeek derives its name, Cambridge Energy Research Associates.
